ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL COVID REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER COSTA RICA?
**Update - No. There are no longer any special requiremnets to enter Costa Rica**

You will need to purchase health insurance. **If you are fully vaccinated, then you do not need this health insurance, but still need a QR code which you can obtain through Pase de Salud Costa Rica.

After you receive your policy number from the insurance, within 2 days of traveling you need to go on this website, Pase de Salud Costa Rica, and put in each person traveling's information. It will ask you for your insurance policy number at the end, and then you will get a QR code for each person in your email that you show at the airport in your country and at immigration in Costa Rica.
HOW DO I OBTAIN A COVID TEST TO ENTER BACK INTO MY HOME COUNTRY?
**Update - A covid test is no longer needed to enter back into the USA**
There are many options in town to receive a covid test. You can make an appointment at a local doctors office for a cheaper option, or you can have a doctor come to the house for a more convenient and slightly more expensive option. Results will be emailed to you within 24hrs. All of this can be arranged by our concierge.
DO YOU ALLOW YOUNG CHILDREN AND OFFER CRIBS AND HIGH CHAIRS?

DO I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT COOKING, CLEANING, SHOWERING OR BRUSHING TEETH WITH THE TAP WATER?
These houses is set up with a state of the art water filtration system. So no worries when taking a shower, brushing your teeth, washing fruit and veggies, or even drinking water straight from the faucet. You will not get a tummy ache, in fact, you will probably enjoy the crisp clean taste of this purified water.
We have 2 sources of water here, and both sources are filtered the same way. Our first option and used predominately in the rainy season and a few months into the dry season, depending on rainfall, is our well. Our well is located on the property. The second option is the city water from the local aqueduct which is only used once the well runs dry or takes too long to recuperate.
The water from both sources was tested by a professional company (Juturna) and then they applied the correct filtration system to achieve fresh drinking water throughout the house. Both water sources first go through Pentek “Big Blue” filter which eliminates all large sediment in the water. Then the water will pass through a water softner (careSoft twin softner systems). And lastly before entering the house it will pass through an ultraviolet whole house water disinfection system. This system eliminates 99.99% of viruses and bacteria. This 3 stage system will allow you and your family to use the water as needed with no hesitation. Even though the well and city water is naturally filtered through the earth, and is safer than most tap waters found on the planet, we wanted to add a little extra filtration to really put your mind at peace.
The ice and water from the refrigerator door goes through yet another 4th filter. The refrigerator comes with its own “everdrop” filter which will only add another layer of freshness on top of an already fully filtered water. The ice and water from the refrigerator is considered completely safe to drink.
To make sure these filters stay clean and keep the whole system working properly, the installation company is on a scheduled maintenance program. They come, check, and change the filters every 6 months so the water is always fresh.
Casa de Ensuenos has an added filtration system installed under the kitchen sink for ph balanced added mineral drinking water with its own separate faucet. Also has instant hot water
HOW CAN I MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR DINNERS, ACTIVATES OR RENTALS?
Our concierge will handle all this for you. Just whatsapp her a message stating what you would like and she will set it up for you.
There is also a house land line phone if you wanted to make your own reservations.
IS THERE GOOD SURFING WAVES NEAR THE HOUSE?
Yes. Directly in front of the house is some of the best waves in town. Grab your board and walk to the beach for some premier surfing.
WILL I SEE MONKEYS OR OTHER WILDLIFE AROUND?
Yes, and being on our property is probably your best chance of seeing any. Our property is loaded with fruit trees which attract many different wildlife animals especially monkeys. You can view the monkeys (White face and Howlers) 20 feet away while swimming in the pool.
WILL I NEED TO RENT A 4X4 VEHICLE TO GET AROUND IN TOWN OR TO THE HOUSE?
The roads in town are getting better and better every year. About 90% of the road in town is paved now. Getting to the house off the main road, you need to travel up a private road which is concrete and recently redone and is always accessible with whatever car you decide to drive. You would not want to rent a small compact car in the rainy season to get around town. Any SUV or 4x4 would be the right vehicle for your stay at these houses. You will definitely want a 4x4 vehicle if you decide to travel outside of town and go through rivers and drive on the beach. So the answer is NO you dont need a 4x4 vehicle, but having a 4x4 vehicle would be the better option.
WHEN ARE THE RAINY AND DRY MONTHS?
The rain along with lightning and thunder storms typically starts in May and end with a little rain in November. Do not get the wrong impression about the rainy season. Yes, it rains, but not every day and can go days without rain. And when it does rain it usually is in the afternoons/evenings and in the middle of the night. You will typically wake up to clear sunshine with everything clean and green from the rain. Even when its raining, you can stay in your swimsuit, because it will never get cold. Also the lightning storms are really fun to watch. October is considered the rainiest month.
The dry season where it does not rain at all starts in November and ends in May. The days are full of sunshine, and the surf is a lot cleaner. The only downside is that a lot of the trees will lose their leaves and the landscape around will look a little less green.
WILL I NEED TO BRING AN UMBRELLA OR FLASHLIGHT?
You can bring your own if you want, but the house will come with a flashlight and umbrellas.
IS THERE A WASHER AND DRYER ON SITE?
Yes there is, but is only to be used by the housekeeper. If you would like to do a load of laundry, we charge $15 a load.
CAN I PICK THE FRUIT FROM THE TREES ON THE PROPERTY AND EAT THE EGGS THAT ARE MADE BY YOUR HENS?
Yes, you can pick any fruit on the property. There are Mango, apple, orange, grapefruit, lime, guanabana and cherry trees. Also on the property are 10 hens who produce fresh eggs every day. You can ask the property care takers to pick fruit for you and grab some eggs for your breakfast. They can also take you into the hen coop to see and pet the hens.
IN CASE OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
There are many doctors in town. House call doctors, walk in doctors office, and 24 hour emergency doctors. If they can not treat you correctly in town for something major, they will helicopter you to a larger hospital.
CAN I VIEW SUNSETS FROM THE HOUSE?
The sunset location changes throughout the year. Half the year from February to July the sun sets to far north and is lost behind the trees right before it disappears over the ocean. From about August to January the sunsets will be fully visible from the house. More visible from Casa de Ensuenos than Casa de Paz
